Established in 1956 by Francesco Malberti and Luigi Riboldi, Rimadesio originally commenced operations under the name Rima Vetraria with headquarters located in Desio, Milan, Italy.

With over 50 years of technical expertise working creatively with glass, the Rimadesio production department is acknowledged as master craftsmen in the creation of creative glass concepts that are unique to the company's collections. A pure and ecologically sustainable material, glass is a flexible material that plays an important part in the creation of the Rimadesio design collection and expression of design concepts.

The fulcrum of Rimadesio's new solutions is the Ecolorsystem featuring lacquered glass: 40 colours corresponding to the International RAL charts, plus the five colours incorporating a reflex finish with a reflecting metallic effect and five matt colours in an opaque finish.

The glass choices are numerous, which customers may select from the transparent glass, reflection glass, frosted glass, mirror surface glass, two?sided glass or painted glass, etc., with more than 40 colors of choice. Rimadesio's sliding panel system uses upper rail, which is stylish, smooth and especially quiet.

Rimadesio's purpose-designed systems for sub-dividing environments showcase the elegance and architectural definitions of particular internal spaces. Doors, sliding panels, shelving units, walk-in wardrobes and an extensive collection of complementary furniture items add a new dimension to interior spaces whilst maximizing functionality.

In 1992, a new product "Siparium" was added to the Rimadesio collection which is a system of sliding partition walls, designed by Giuseppe Bavuso. These systems guarantee you the freedom to choose the layout of home spaces. Meanwhile, there are more than 600 dealers in Italy which let Rimadesio become the high-end furniture market leader in Europe.
